Story By: RYAN HILL / KOLBY SCHRODER RACING – WEST LEBANON, NY – Kolby Schroder and the Top Notch Builders Big Block Modified team opened their season this past Saturday with a successful practice session.
Practice was held at Kolby’s hometrack Lebanon Valley Speedway. Kolby came in 10th place in the speedway’s championship points standing, in 2016. It was a roller coaster season for the 99 team, as bad luck struck from time to time sending them as far back as 18th in the points standings at one time, but a strong effort in the latter half of the season rallied them to the top 10 season finish.
Kolby and the entire team felt the practice was a success, as their TEO Pro Cars were fast and and they are heading into the season with optimism, and excitement.
” I was happy with the back up car right out of the trailer” Schroder said. “We shifted our focus to the primary car once we took that out on the track. I was not quite comfortable with how the car was rotating into the turns so we started to make changes to fix it, and by the third time out we had it pretty close. Now we have to do some fine tuning to get the cars ready for opening night.”
Kolby officially opens his season Saturday April 22nd at Lebanon Valley Speedway in West Lebanon, NY.
