Column By: RYAN HILL / RPW – WURTSBORO, NY – The “DC Express,” Dan Creeden, straps in for today’s installment of RPW’S “THE TEN”. Dan is a Modified standout whose family operation is excited for a big 2017 season.
The 34-year-old from Wurtsboro, NY who, along with his wife Tania and daughter Sadie Lynn, will be racing at Accord Speedway, Thunder Mountain Speedway , The Short Track Super Series North , as well as select South shows.
Dan will also race in several Super DIRTcar Series shows with both his Big Block and 358-Modifieds, which are Hig Fab Chassis cars powered by Bedell Racing Engines.

My father ran that number, and it is also my parent’s anniversary.
2- WHAT TYPE OF RACECAR WOULD YOU LIKE TO DRIVE?
I would like to drive a World of Outlaws Late Model.
3- WHAT IS YOUR PROUDEST RACING MOMENT?
Winning the Dirty Jersey 50, and all the other Short Track Super Series races.
4- WHO WAS YOUR FAVORITE DRIVER BEFORE YOU RACED?
My father, Butch Tittle, Timmy Hindley and The Ice Man Dom Roselli.
5- WHAT RACE WOULD YOU LIKE TO WIN?
The 76er at Grandview Speedway.
6- HOW DID YOU START RACING?
I started in 1992 at the Thunderdome at Orange County Fair Speedway. My dad kept me out of racing as long as could until Timmy Hindley gave me my first ride there.
7- WHAT TRACK IS A “BUCKET LIST” TRACK FOR YOU TO RACE?
Tazewell! (Tazewell Speedway, TN)
8- WHAT ARE YOUR STRONGEST TRAITS AS A DRIVER?
That is a tough one. I pride myself in being a self funded team that can do more with less.
9- WHAT ARE YOUR WEAKNESSES?
Sometimes I am not patient enough.
10- HOW HAS RACING AFFECTED YOUR PERSONAL LIFE?
Racing is my life, and without my wife Tania’s support I would not be able to do it. My wife and daughter sacrifice the vacations and things that normal families get to do during the summer to help me live my dream.
