Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / JARED MILEY RACING – PITTSBURGH, PA – Western Pennsylvania super late model hotshot Jared Miley will continue his 2017 season this Friday and Saturday, April 28-29, with a ULMS Racing Series doubleheader. A total winner’s share exceeding $6500 will be up for grabs during the two-day tour, beginning with a 30-lap/$3,000-to-win showcase at Thunder Mountain Speedway on Friday, April 28. Miley is a former ULMS Racing Series main event winner at the Brookville, Pennsylvania, oval, snagging a four-figure payday in 2015.
“Our schedule has been kinda hit and miss lately. We’re ready to get some two-three race weekends going,” Miley explained. “We enjoy running with the ULMS Racing Series. Their entire schedule takes place in areas only a few hours from our shop, some really close like Pittsburgh. Hopefully we can get two, solid races in the books this weekend and come home with a ULMS sweep. We’re pretty pumped to get started.”
Miley, pilot of the Jared Miley Racing/Jay’s Auto Wrecking/Keystone Alliance Insurance Services, LLC of Spring City/Maloney’s Classic Cars of Meadville/Junior’s Cores & Recycling/Colussy Chevrolet/Octane Graphix/Brougher’s Machine Shop/No. H1, will continue his ULMS Racing Series doubleheader weekend with a visit to Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway near Imperial on Saturday, April 29. Honoring Miley’s late uncle and former “PPMS” promoter, the Red Miley Rumble will award $3,553 after 35 green flag laps. Like Thunder Mountain Speedway, Miley is a former main event winner at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, snagging a Red Miley Rumble title in 2012.
During recent super late model competition, “The Jet” Jared Miley finished 17th during Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series action at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, native started eighth on the main event grid, but retired early due to mechanical issues and speedway conditions.
