Story By: RYAN HILL / SANCHEZ RACING – ELIDA, OH – Friday night was a big night for New York racer Daniel Sanchez at Limaland Motorsports Park. Daniel showed up at the 1/4 mile dirt track in Elida, Ohio with his Snap-On Tools #463 Pro Stock with hopes of learning and doing well in his mid west adventure.
The Night started off with the McDonalds Dash For Cash. Daniel started last in the dash (4th) and was able to drive his 463 to the front by the time the checkers dropped. It was his first win in Ohio and it was a big moment for the young driver.
“Winning the dash was exciting because not many people get the chance to travel to other states to race let alone win.”
The rest of the night’s racing went well for the 463 team as they continue to learn and excel in their new environment. Daniel started on the pole for his heat race and finished 3rd. When it was time for the feature, the 463 started 8th and was able to hold that position finishing the race in 8th with the car still in one piece, and they are happy with the speed they have.
“We keep getting faster every each week, and the dash was a huge confidence boost. We hope to get a feature win soon.”
Daniel will be back in action this Friday at Limaland Motorsports Park, and Saturday at Eldora Speedway.
