Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / TJ MICHAEL MOTORSPORTS – FREMONT, OH – The month of May has been frustrating for the “Texas Traveler” T.J. Michael, and Mother Nature is held mostly to blame. Moving his frustration aside, Michael will work to activate June on a positive note and score his first Arctic Cat All Star top-ten performance of the season on Friday night, June 2, at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania; the first of two Western Pennsylvania visits during the upcoming weekend.
“Not much to say about the last four or five weeks. It’s been a little more than frustrating,” T.J. Michael explained, pilot of the Michael Motorsports/Advanced Cast Stone/Fremont Fence Company/Crown Battery/No. 8M. “Hopefully we can get June started on the right foot. We have a lot of potential, we just need to learn how to harness it. My crew busts their butts each and every week. We just need to build some rhythm. Once Mother Nature allows us to race, I’m sure we can make that happen.”
After an appearance at Lernerville Speedway, the 2016 Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions Rookie of the Year runner-up will continue his 2017 campaign with a visit to Mercer Raceway Park on Saturday, June 3.
Unfortunately for Michael, his most recent Arctic Cat All Star start resulted in a C-main finish outside of a transfer position at Attica Raceway Park. It was his first and only Series start during the month of May, with all other programs washed away by Mother Nature. Six out of seven in total lost to weather.
