Information By: BRETT DEYO / FONDA SPEEDWAY – FONDA, NY – Officials from the Fonda Speedway have announced the 2019 Modified Division Quick Specifications.
Engines:
Big- and small-block engine combinations are permitted at Fonda Speedway. Chevrolet/GM, Ford or Chrysler/Dodge engines only. Steel-block only (exceptions can be made for W-16, LS and spec combinations). No small-block engine may exceed 450 cubic inches. No big-block engine may exceed 477 cubic inches.
Weights:
Engines up to 363 cubic inches (max. tolerance 370 c.i.): 2,400 lbs.
Engines larger than 363 cubic inches: 2,500 lbs.
*Track-scale pounds, post-race, with driver
Tires:
Right-Rear: American Racer 50 compound only
Left-Rear: American Racer 48 compound only
Right-Front: American Racer 48 compound only
Left-Front: Any American Racer tire
*Teams will have a three-week ‘burn-off’ period for Hoosier tires to start the season
Bodies:
Standard windows will be utilized at the speedway (no sail panels). Door height will be measured with driver in car, immediately after the race. It will be measured 60 inches from the centerline of the rear axle. The left-side door 60 inches in front of the rear axle is maximum 41 inches from the ground. The right-side door 60 inches in front of the rear axle is maximum 40 inches from the ground. All other standard/DIRTcar body rules will be in effect. Anything deemed not within the spirit of the rules will need to be altered per the direction of series tech officials.
Fuel:
Gasoline only. Sunoco is the preferred fuel of Fonda Speedway.
