Story By: JEREMY SHIELDS / LUCAS OIL LATE MODEL DIRT SERIES – BATAVIA, OH – The elite teams of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will return to action this weekend.
A doubleheader of racing action in Tennessee and Georgia is on tap with Friday’s event at 411 Motor Speedway, followed by an event on Saturday at North Georgia Speedway. Both events will feature a complete program of: Miller Welders Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and a 50-lap, $12,000-to-win main event.
The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will make their first ever visit to the McCarter family-owned, 411 Motor Speedway this Friday, April 5th. Known as Tennessee’s Action Track, 411 Motor Speedway is accustomed to thrilling, edge of your seat racing action, lap-after-lap.
The activities on Friday will get underway with pit gates opening at 2:00 p.m., followed by general admission gates at 4:00 p.m. A driver’s meeting will take place at 6:45 p.m., followed by hot laps at 7:15 p.m.
The stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series return to North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia for the first time since June 2009, on Saturday, April 6th. For over half a century, North Georgia Speedway’s lightning fast high banks and red clay have provided race fans with some of the most exciting racing action in the county.
Saturday’s festivities will begin with pit gates opening at 2:00 p.m. and general admission gates at 4:00 p.m. An autograph session will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. followed by the driver’s meet at 6:30 p.m. The on-track action will begin with hot laps at 7:00 p.m.
