Story By: ORANGE COUNTY FAIR SPEEDWAY – MIDDLETOWN, NY – Saturday, May 18th’s Little League Night offers FREE ADMISSION for all youth sports participants both boys and girls wearing their teams’ jersey and high school athletes in uniform will be admitted to the Saturday, May 18 racing program at Orange County Fair Speedway free of charge.
The format for the evening’s racing excitement includes the Big-Block Modifieds, Sportsman, and Street Stocks, with each division competing in a qualify events and feature races. In the headline Modifieds feature race, the drivers will vying for a lucrative $3,300 first place prize money.
As part of Youth Sports night activities, Major League Baseball player Dwight Gooden will be in attendance from 7-9pm to sign autographs and hang out with fans. Also featured is a fun interactive “wide world of sports” game.
Due to a rain out the week before, The special “Devil Made Us Do it 666” $6,000 modified feature has been rescheduled for Little League Night as well as the regular purse sportsman feature from May 11th. That Night’s Small Block race has been rescheduled for July 13th’s All-Star Circuit of Champions Sprint show.
Adult admission to Orange County Fair Speedway weekly races is $20, with children 10 and under $5.00. There is a $1.00 car fee for the Drive-In section. Race fans will receive a free program as they pass through the turnstiles. In addition, there will be free music at the 31stLap Tavern, where drink specials include a $2 Busch Beer Happy hour from 4-7 pm and again after the races till close.
The competitor pits open at 2:30 pm; spectator gates and Drive-In at 4:00 pm. Racing begins at 6:00 pm.
