Story By: DAVE MEDLER / FULTON SPEEDWAY – FULTON, NY – This Saturday, July 6 the Fulton Speedway will swing the pit gate open when the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints Speedweek invades the Route 57 race track.
Help us make the Saturday night racing program a Yellow-Out by wearing yellow for Rhabdomyosarcoma Month. Rhabdomyosarcoma is a fast-growing soft tissue cancer.
The 3rd Annual event will be in the track midway with an auction, door prizes and other activities during the night. All money donated will go directly to Golisano Children’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY to help their fight with childhood cancer.
Joining the Empire Super Sprints will be the grandstand shaking Tracey Road Equipment DIRTcar Modifieds, DOT Foods DIRTcar Sportsman, Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux RUSH Late Models, E&V Energy Novice Sportsman presented by NAPA Auto Parts and Tim Grevelding Snap-On Tools.
Annually the Empire Super Sprints Speedweek brings the top talent in 360 Sprint Cars from the Northeast plus Ontario, Canada and Quebec, Canada.
In 2018 almost 40 cars signed into the pits taking four heats, Dash and B-Main to set the 25-car car starting field. In the exciting 25-lap A-Main Jordan Poirier from Beloeil, Quebec picked up the narrow victory over Danny Varin. For Poirier, it was his first win in the United States.
