Story By: DAVE MEDLER / FULTON SPEEDWAY – FULTON, NY – The week is finally here that race teams and fans circle on their calendar yearly. One of the true crown jewel Northeast Modified racing events will continue its annual tradition of being one of the largest single day events on the racing calendar each year this Saturday, October 5.
A full day of Modified activity will feature 10 lap heats, 12 lap consolations and new for 2019, a 15-lap Last Chance Showdown setting the stage for the prestigious Stadium International Trucks Outlaw 200 Saturday Night.
Optional qualifying races will precede Saturday’s standard single day format on Friday Night, with the winner of each locked into Saturday’s 200 lap marquee event. Aside from the four winners Friday, the races Friday will have no bearing on Saturday’s single day format. A complete draw to determine heat lineups will be held in the grandstands on Saturday as has been the Outlaw 200 tradition since its inception.
The Last Chance Showdown has been added to the line-up this year to give teams one last chance to qualify for Saturday’s 200-lap jewel, awarding the final starting spots for the 200-lap feature with all non-qualifiers receiving a $100 purse.
This Wednesday, October 2 camping opens to kickstart the 34th Annual Stadium International Trucks Outlaw 200 Weekend.
Race teams are invited to move into the pit area on Thursday Night, October 3 from 5-7 pm and again Friday from 9am to 2pm before weekend action gets underway Friday night at 7pm.
