Story By: SHAWN BROUSE / WILLIAMS GROVE SPEEDWAY – MECHANICSBURG, PA – Despite the recent announcement by USAC to cancel its swing through the east including the Silver Crown Series program slated for Williams Grove Speedway, the track continues to plan on hosting racing action on June 12 including the 410 sprint cars.
Williams Grove Speedway is looking toward a resumption of racing as soon as state and Cumberland County officials green light racing action.
The speedway is currently evaluating the possibility of rescheduling the May World of Outlaws dates later this season and it has already decided to conduct racing on Friday night, August 14 with divisions to be determined in place of what was originally a dark night on the schedule.
In addition, oval officials are considering adding dates to the schedule that would see racing continue later into the season beyond the National Open.
Wiliams Grove Speedway hopes to see drivers and fans very soon as racing resumes.
