Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BROCK ZEARFOSS RACING – JONESTOWN, PA – Brock Zearfoss’ plan to transfer recent 360 sprint car success to the 410 ranks nearly went off without a hitch, ending his three-day One and Only/Capitani Classic visit at Knoxville Raceway with two main event starts, eventually capping the weekend with a 19th-place outing during the $50,000-to-win finale on Saturday night.
Zearfoss, the 2020 360 Knoxville Nationals Rookie of the Year, earned a main event spot in the World of Outlaws blockbuster after finishing fourth during his respective feature qualifier.
One night prior, Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing finished 20th during preliminary main event competition, securing a spot on the A-Main grid after finishing third during B-Main action.
“Looking back, we had a solid run at Knoxville during our two weeks. We proved we had the speed to be competitive with the 360, as well as the 410, so that’s obviously motivating for our program moving forward,” Brock Zearfoss said, driver of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., BAPS Auto Paints & Supply, Meckley’s Limestone Products, Berkebile Oil Company, Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, X-1 Race Cars, Bruce’s Speed Shop, No. 3Z sprint car. “I can’t say enough about this entire team. Shane and Tye gave 110% during our entire trip. We raced a lot and they never backed down. I want to thank all of our partners for making a trip like this a reality. We still have a lot of racing left on our schedule. Hopefully we can put ourselves in good positions the rest of the year and contend for some more wins.”
Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing will continue their 2020 campaign with a doubleheader in their home state of Pennsylvania. The ‘Jonestown Jet’ will visit the Port Royal Speedway ‘Speed Palace’ on Saturday, August 22, followed by a visit to BAPS Motor Speedway on Sunday, August 23. Zearfoss will enter the Keystone State doubleheader with two victories on the season, each of which earned in the Central Time Zone.
