Story By: RON SZCZERBA / FONDA SPEEDWAY – FONDA, NY – This Saturday June 5, a longtime supporter of local racing Bill Lake Modular Homes will present a regular show in all divisions along with the CRSA Sprint Cars at the “Track of Champions” Fonda Speedway. Starting time will be 7:00 p.m.
Regular divisions at the half mile Montgomery County Fairgrounds facility include the Sunoco Modifieds, the Swagger Factory Apparel Crate 602 Sportsman, the Algonkin Motel Pro Stocks, the Montgomery County Office for Aging Inc. Limited Sportsman, and the Fonda Fair Four Cylinders.
The CRSA Sprint Cars have made 20 appearances at Fonda from 2009 to 2019 with 11 different drivers winning those events led by Danny Varin with four; Josh Pieniazek with three; Cory Sparks, Kyle Smith, Mike Kiser, and Jeff Trombley all with two; Dylan Swiernik, John Matrafailo, Tyler Rice, Jordan Thomas, and Brett Jaycox all with one victory apiece.
Last Saturday at Fonda both Tucker O’Connor (Swagger Factory Apparel Crate 602 Sportsman) and Clayton DuMond (Montgomery County Office for Aging Inc. Limited Sportsman) crossed the finish line first to take the checkered flag in their respective divisions for their first career wins at the “Track of Champions.” Congratulations to both of those drivers.
Leading the way in victories in their respective divisions after seven racing events so for in 2021 include Stewart Friesen in the Sunoco Modified division with five wins, Chad Edwards in the Swagger factory Apparel Crate 602 Sportsman division with three wins, Jeremy Tyrrell in the Montgomery County Office for Aging Inc. Limited Sportsman with two wins, Nick Stone in the Algonkin Pro Stock division with two wins, Ken Hollenback with five victories in the SOHC class and Slappy White with four victories in the DOHC class in the Fonda Fair Four Cylinders.
So come and see some great racing action as the Fonda Speedway begins the month of June with a special racing program including the always exciting CRSA Sprint cars!

• $65/parking spot – includes 1-4 attendees of any age (ATTENDEES MUST ARRIVE TOGETHER – NO EXCEPTIONS).
• Reservations will be accepted until Thursday, June 3rd at 8:00 PM, unless SOLD OUT prior. Credit card payment is required prior to the event. No refunds.
Gates will open at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday June 5 with Hot Laps at 6:00 p.m. and Racing at 7 p.m. Adult Admission is $13, Seniors (ages 65 and up) are $11, Kids 11 and under are FREE! Pit Admission is $35 (Non-Members) or $30 (Fonda Members).
