Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / TONY STEWART RACING – BROWNSBURG, IN – Continuing his consistent ways, Fargo, North Dakota’s Donny Schatz capped the final West Coast Swing of the 2021 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series season with a top-ten performance, finishing seventh during the $21,000-to-win Tom Tarlton Classic at Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford, California.
Schatz, pilot of the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing/Carquest Auto Parts/Curb Records/Ford Performance/Sage Fruit/Digital Ally/Advance Auto Parts/Rush Truck Centers/Absolute Automation and Security/Hunt Brothers Pizza/J&J Auto Racing/No. 15 sprint car, kicked-off the Tarlton Classic with the seventh-fastest time during qualifying time trials, finishing third in his respective heat race shortly thereafter.
After a cross-country trip from sunny California to the eastern time zone, Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing will continue their 2021 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series season with a two-race weekend in Ohio and Pennsylvania, first visiting Eldora Speedway for the BeFour the Crowns Showdown on September 24, then Lernerville Speedway for the Commonwealth Clash on September 25. The ten-time World of Outlaws champion will enter the doubleheader fourth in the Series driver chase, trailing points leader Brad Sweet by 264 markers.
