Story By: NATALIE JACKSON / CJB MOTORSPORTS – CARLISLE, PA – Spencer Bayston took his first laps as the new, full time driver of the CJB Motorsports #5 as the 2021 edition of the famed National Open got underway at Williams Grove Speedway near Mechanicsburg, Pa. on Friday, October 1st.
Bayston timed in 9th on the opening night with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series before finishing 5th in his heat race and 20th in the feature.
The following night, with $75,000 on the line, Bayston clocked in 8th quick in his group, finished 4th in his heat race and 14th in the feature.
The RE Pierson Constructions, Nyce, Crete and Landis Block and Concrete, Ecynbro Trucking, C&S Lawn and Landscape, Marchant Cattle Co. and High Performance Lubricants #5 will see veteran Paul McMahan return to the seat to close out the Flo Racing All Star Circuit of Champions season with a pair of event at Fremont (Ohio) Speedway on Friday, October 15th and Saturday, October 16th. Bayston will return to seat this coming weekend for the Outlaws double header at Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway on Friday, October 8th and Saturday, October 9th.
