Story By: LUCAS OIL LATE MODEL DIRT SERIES – BATAVIA, OH – Over $125,000 in purse money is on the line at two tracks this weekend, with history dating back to the 1970’s. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series travels to Raceway 7 in Conneaut, Ohio on Friday, October 1st and Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Imperial, Penn. on Saturday, October 2nd.
The Great Lakes 50 on Friday night at Raceway 7, will boast a $12,000 top prize. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will compete in a complete program of: Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and a 50-lap main event on the 7/16-mile semi-banked clay oval.
There will also be a full show for the Econo Mods on Friday night. The pit gate will open at 2:00 PM, followed by general admission gates at 5:30 PM. Hot laps will begin at 7:30 PM, followed by action-packed racing.
On Saturday night, the action shifts to the 33rd Annual Pittsburgher 100. The single-day event for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will include a complete program of: Allstar Performance Time Trials, Heat Races, and B-Mains – highlighted by a 100-lap, $20,000-to-win feature event.
The Rush Late Models will also be in competition on Saturday night with a full show. The pit gates will close at 11:00AM and re-open at 12:00 PM (noon) with the general admission gates opening at 3:00 PM, On-track action begins at 6:00 PM.
Road To The Dirt Track World Championship Contest Ends This Weekend
The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) partnered to give fans of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series the chance to win a VIP Package to the season-ending Dirt Track World Championship at Portsmouth (Ohio) Raceway Park.
Fans have the opportunity to register for the UNOH Road to the Dirt Track World Championship contest at the UNOH interactive booth in the vendor midway at every series event. This Saturday’s Pittsburgher 100 at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway will be the last opportunity for fans to register for this grand prize drawing. The grand prize winner will be selected October 6th and notified by phone and/or email.
The UNOH Grand Prize winner receives two VIP suite passes to the Dirt Track World Championship on October 15th-16th plus a prize package that includes UNOH hats, shirts, and tailgating chairs along with various Lucas Oil products. The UNOH Grand Prize winner also takes home two tickets to attend the ARCA Menards Series Lucas Oil 200 at Daytona (Fla.) International Raceway on February 19, 2022; two tickets to the NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Daytona International Raceway on February 19, 2022; and two Fan Zone passes for 2022 Daytona International Raceway events.
