Column By: ROBERT SYMONDS / RPW – CONCORD, NC – With a November race, it is always a gamble to know exactly how many people would show up to a racing event. However Saturday’s Finale of the World Finals proved to be different for The Dirt Track At Charlotte. Even in North Carolina, the weather could be warm but this weekend its a little more on the chilly side with temperatures in the lower 50’s for Saturday.
The announcement comes just after heat race competition is completed on late Saturday afternoon around 5pm est, announced by none other than Johnny Gibson, the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Sprint Car Series Announcer. This sell out crowd proves that dirt race fans will travel from near and far to see racing action as long as they can before the bitter winter months. It also proves how strong dirt car and grassroots racing are today. After today’s finale, the next time that the World of Outlaws and the Super DIRTcar Series will be in competition will be in February for the DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park in Florida.
