Story By: STEVEN PETTY / RANSOMVILLE SPEEDWAY – RANSOMVILLE, NY – The BRP Modified Tour will be returning to the Ransomville Speedway on Friday, June 24, 2022, with a rain date scheduled for Friday, July 22. 2022 will mark the 25th Anniversary Season for the BRP Modified Tour.
The 2022 visit will mark the second visit in Tour history, with Gary Lindberg winning back in 2019.
2021 BRP Modified Tour Champion Chad Brachmann is excited about the return of the BRP Tour to the “Big R”. “It’s always great to race in front of your hometown family, friends, and fans,” Brachmann said. The Sanborn, NY driver edged out Rex King Jr by a single point to take the 2021 BRP Modified Tour championship. Brachmann had a successful season on the tour, by winning six races, including the annual Steel City Stampede at Lernerville Speedway in Pennsylvania. “The competition is great, you have a good mix of competition along with going to tracks you wouldn’t normally race at,” Brachmann added.
“CB3” did earn a victory at Ransomville in 2021, along with 10 top-five finishes, and 11 top-10 finishes in 12 starts.
Alongside his wife Louise, Chad operates the popular Sunflowers of Sanborn and was the divisional sponsor for the competitive Mini Stock division at Ransomville. “The Mini Stocks put on a great show each week”, Brachmann said. “Hopefully they can re-align the rules to grow the division going forward.”
The 2022 Ransomville Speedway schedule will be released soon. Season passes for the 2022 racing season are now on sale.
