Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / ALL STAR CIRCUIT OF CHAMPIONS – BROWNSBURG, IN – In One week, the FloRacing All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1 will ignite their 2022 campaign, and as tradition has it, “America’s Series” will launch the new year with a non-points swing through the southern states, contesting six events at three tracks over a 12-day span.
Dubbed the Classic Ink USA Southern Swing presented by Elliott’s Custom Trailers and Carts, the six-race tour will launch with a two-day visit to Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia, on Friday and Saturday, February 4-5. A total winner’s share equaling $18,000 will be awarded during the Peach State stay with $8,000 being handed out on Friday and $10,000 on Saturday.
“We’re always excited to get back to the track in February,” said Tony Stewart, owner of the All Stars. “I know a lot of teams are chomping at the bit to head south. We are excited to introduce our Series to a new market in Senoia, and we look forward to our annual stops at Volusia and East Bay. A big thank you to Brian and Cindy for their support of the Series and the Southern Swing in 2022.”
The Classic Ink USA Southern Swing presented by Elliott’s Custom Trailers and Carts will continue with an annual visit to Volusia Speedway Park for DIRTcar Nationals action on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 8-9. Helping launch the five-race sprint car segment of Volusia’s DIRTcar Nationals, each night of the All Star portion will award $6,000.
“We’re excited to continue our relationship with the All Star Circuit of Champions,” Brian Ellenberger said, CEO of Classic Ink USA Screenprinting and Embroidery. “We’ve been associated with the Series for several years, and to have the opportunity to be a part of a major portion of their schedule is really exciting. We hope to not only use this opportunity to promote our brand and our services, but also do our part in helping promote the sport that we all love so much. Good luck to all of those racing in Georgia and Florida.”
East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Florida, will be the final stop for the All Stars on their 2022 Southern Swing, invading the action-packed clay oval on Monday and Tuesday, February 14-15. Headlining the first two nights of the sprint car segment of East Bay’s annual Winternationals, the All Star doubleheader will award $6,000 each, increasing the overall Southern Swing winner’s share to $42,000.
“We’re happy to be back on board with the All Stars for their Southern Swing. The Series has been a big part of our racing family for several years and I can’t think of a better way to kick-off the new year,” Cindy Elliott said of Elliott’s Custom Trailers and Carts. “The Southern Swing gives our brand the opportunity to level up and gain extra exposure. We’re excited to head south.”
Once action in Georgia and Florida is complete, the FloRacing All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1 will take a seven-week hiatus before resuming the 2022 season with a doubleheader at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, on Friday and Saturday, April 8-9. The Core and Main Spring Nationals, awarding $6,000 each night, will officially launch the All Star points championship.
