New Egypt Speedway’s 25th Anniversary Season Set To Be A Diversified One

Story By: NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY – NEW EGYPT, NJ – The 25th anniversary season at the New Egypt Speedway will be one of its most diversified in over ten years.

Regular divisions at the Route 539 oval this season will be the Vahlco Wheels Modifieds, the Racersguide.com Crates, Larry’s Hot Rods & Harleys Northeast Wingless Sprint Cars, the Street Stocks, and the 4-Cylinders.

A strong rookie class is rapidly shaping up and once again will be sponsored by Lyons Construction and Metal Fab. The thirteen-week schedule will begin on April 2nd and end on June 25th with a twelve-lap main event.

The popular MASS 305 group will be on hand for five shows this year. The first is set to go on April 23rd followed by shows on May 21st, June 18th, July 6th, and September 17th.

Set to make their return after a two-year absence will be the URC Sprint Cars. The winged group is always a crowd pleaser, and they are set to run on June 18th and August 13th.

The USAC East group will be making a record three stops at the tricky 7/16-mile speedway. Their first event on the 2022 campaign is scheduled for May 28th with July 30th and October 22nd rounding out the trio of shows.

Making their first appearance since 2014 are the ARDC midgets. The group has presented some exciting features of the years with the last one being won by Steve Buckwalter on June 5, 2014. They are scheduled to compete on April 30th, June 18th, and August 27th.

The Eastern 600 sprints will return for two special shows. Coming off a trial run last year, the group will be part of our Garden State Gunfight on June 14th, and the Legends of the Fall event on October 22nd.

The season will open on March 19th with a big AMA show, followed by an open practice on March 26th for all divisions. The Cabin Fever 40 will mark the start of the 25th season on dirt as the modifieds will compete in a forty-lap main event. Joining them will be the crates, NEWS, 4-Cylinders, and the Rookies.
