Story By: PETE MACDONALD / DANNY BOUC RACING – PIPERSVILLE, PA – After an up and down season during 2021 that saw him visit victory lane two times with six top five finishes to go along with 19 top ten finishes in 48 starts. Danny Bouc Racing (DBR) is getting ready to get back to basics for the 2022 season with a few minor changes.
For the 2022 season, Danny has an all out assault planned for Bridgeport Motorsports Park as his home track each and every Saturday aboard the family owned No. 32. For the upcoming season, DBR has purchased two brand new Bicknell Race Cars for weekly and spec-358 competition.
“We’re going to Bridgeport because I have had some really good runs there ever since the redesign. I feel like it’s the next place I need to really focus on and go get after some wins. The schedule this year really works well with my work schedule and I’m really looking forward to focusing on my Saturday night stuff and going after as many wins there as I can. It’s gonna be a tough weekly field but I’m up for the challenge,” Bouc said about his new weekly stomping grounds.
As far as traveling goes, Danny will again team up with Craig and Leslie Pondish aboard their No. 6 machine.
“Craig and Leslie have always been great to drive for and give me the stuff I need to succeed at the bigger races so I’m excited to jump back on board with their program and continue to build it and get into victory lane with them,” revealed the 32-year-old Bouc.
When it comes to a traveling schedule, DBR is not planning on competing on a traveling series on a regular basis as much as following higher paying events throughout the season.
“We’re not committing to a series right now, as of right now we are going to Florida, if all goes well, we’ll go to Cherokee, if Cherokee goes good we’ll be at Georgetown and so on.”
DBR will kick off its 2022 season next week with three nights at the All-Tech Raceway in Lake City, FL with the Short Track Super Series Sunshine Swing. If all goes well in Florida, look for Danny and the rest of the team to travel to Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, SC on February 24th through the 26th for the Short Track Super Series Elite Series opener which will pay $25,000 to win.
