Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / DANNY DIETRICH RACING – GETTYSBURG, PA – Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing have been nothing short of fantastic in their last two starts at the “Fabulous” Lincoln Speedway, and for the second consecutive weekend, “Double-D” charged his way to victory from midpack, translating another fifth-row starting position into a feature win on Saturday, April 2.
The Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, native now owns 57-career wins in the Pigeon Hills and is currently on top of the track championship standings.
Impressive enough, Dietrich, driver of Gary Kauffman’s Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Self Made Racing, Racer’s New & Used Parts Warehouse, East Park Automotive Inc, RV 4 Wheel Drive & Performance Automotive Inc, No. 48 sprint car, battled his way to the top in just five laps, securing a podium position with only three laps checked off the ticker.
Dietrich was scheduled to visit Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, April 1, but Mother Nature had other plans. The event was ultimately canceled due to high winds and cold temperatures.
“What a run. Things are clicking right now and it feels great. I owe it all to my team, all of my partners, and of course, the fans. They are the real reason we can come out here and put on a show like this. If it wasn’t for the fans, none of this would be possible,” Dietrich explained, who now owns three consecutive podium runs at Lincoln Speedway including his recent victories. “Hopefully the weather improves soon and we can start racing two to three times a weekend without worry.”
