Story By: KING OF DIRT – WEST HAVEN, VT – Since the beginning at King Of Dirt Racing, Fastline Performance shock guru and man with the winning plan Mike Walton has been involved with the series.
Once again that relationship will thrive, and drivers are the beneficiary.
Walton has signed on as title marketing partner for the Overall points chase in his continued support of King Of Dirt Racing and the drivers.
Fastline Performance has become renowned for offering an industry standard winning shock package, especially in the Sportsman ranks. Their services have been the talk of the track at many speedways and giving back to drivers has been a staple of their business for years. 2022 will be no different as Walton’s contributions will go directly to the champion. And their generosity doesn’t end there.
Along with Fastline Performance comes another past KOD sponsor, DIG Racing Products. DIG together with Fastline will present a standard set of shocks awarded by random draw to a driver finishing top 15 in final Overall points. Brandon Planck has supported the series in the past with DIG Racing Products. Together Walton and Planck will again reward KOD drivers.
“I’ve always enjoyed the way KOD has been there for the racers. Down to earth, eating dust like the rest of us, and no BS involved. I also appreciate their dedication to divisions that are not Modifieds, especially Sportsman,” said Mike Walton, Fastline Performance owner and operator.
Walton went on to say, “We may service many drivers across many divisions, but Sportsman racers have been a big part of keeping my business going strong. I don’t feel they always get the recognition they deserve, but KOD changes that with their approach.”
KOD promoter/owner Mike Bruno chimed in by saying, “I’m grateful that Fastline is back on board with KOD along with DIG. They were here prior to my arrival with the series, but I think bridging the past with the present says a lot about Mike Walton’s dedication to the brand. We greatly appreciate his generosity and support of the series and the drivers.”
“The short and sweet of it, Mike (Walton) has always shown support for what we work on. I reached out to him and explained what we had going on. He didn’t hesitate to ask what he could do to help. I ran some numbers by him, similar to what we had done in the past working on the series and Nationals together and he was in. I’m sure Mike (Bruno) would agree, title sponsor is his gig for as long as he wants to be part of it,” said Rob Hazer, competition director of points and scoring.
