Story By: RYAN DELPH / TIM MCCREADIE RACING – BRISTOL, TN – The Paylor Motorsports team made the trek to Bristol, Tennessee over the March 25-26 weekend to compete in the 2nd Annual ‘Bristol Dirt Nationals’ at the dirt-covered Bristol Motor Speedway.
The XR Super Series and Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Series co-sanctioned the weekend at BMS and a pair of $50,000 top prizes were up for grabs.
On Friday night in the opener, Tim McCreadie stopped the clock tenth fastest in Group A during qualifying before running third in heat race action.
Tim then started eleventh on the grid in the 50-lap headliner, but pulled off the racing surface early in the contest and settled for a twentieth place effort.
A similar program was then held on Saturday evening at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Tim laid down the ninth quickest lap in Group B during the qualifying session and later advanced up to second in his heat race.
The Watertown, New York superstar was then running a strong fifth early in the 50-lapper until blowing a tire and hitting the wall hard on the tenth circuit.
Thankfully, “T-Mac” emerged unscathed from the bout with the unforgiving concrete, but heavy damage to the #39 machine dropped him to a disappointing twenty-third place performance.
