Story By: BRETT DEYO / GEORGETOWN SPEEDWAY – GEORGETOWN, DE – Take 2. Delaware State Sportsmen’s Association Night – featuring the return of the Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series to Georgetown Speedway – has been rescheduled for Friday, June 24.
After a saturated track surface from heavy overnight rainfall forced speedway management to postpone the June 3 event, the Sussex County half-mile oval roars back to life on the 24th with a complete program of live and local stock car racing.
The event and its entirety has been moved to June 24, including the following:
- J.W. Brown Logging Modifieds – 25 laps, $3,000 To Win
- First State Chevrolet RUSH Late Models – 20 Laps, $1,000 to Win
- Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series
- Southern Delaware Vintage Stocks Cars
- Little Lincolns
- Delaware Super Trucks
- Delmarva Chargers
For RUSH Late Model competitors, 25 points will be awarded to drivers competing at Georgetown or in the ‘Firecracker’ weekend at Lernerville (Pa.) Speedway.
Pit Gates Open: 4 p.m. – Grandstand Gates Open: 5 p.m. – Hot Laps: 6:45 p.m. – Racing: 7:30 p.m.
Grandstand Admission: $20 (Adults) – $16 Seniors (ages 65 & up) & Students (ages 13-17) – $10 Kids (ages 9-12) – Children 8 & under FREE
Pit Admission: $35 (ages 13 & up) – $10 Kids (ages 6-12) – $2 Children (ages 5 & under)
