Scott Fitzgerald Headlines King Of Dirt Limited Sportsman Weekend With Win At Devil’s Bowl

Story By: KING OF DIRT – FAIR HAVEN, VT – Devil’s Bowl Speedway competitor Scott Fitzgerald was the only registered Elmo’s Speed Supply King Of Dirt Racing driver to earn a win over the holiday weekend.

Evan Roberts continues to hold the top spot in standings followed closely by Zach Dufel, Kyle Dingman, Michael Arnold, and Mike Parodi.

Points are tight on the KOD Limited Sportsman leaderboard, where only 13 points separate first and fifth. Consistency is key and every race matters to competitors. Drivers sitting further down the standings will soon be climbing up the standings once their respective tracks get more races in for the 2022 season. There are a number of drivers who could earn the first ever KOD Limited Sportsman crown.

Scott Fitzgerald leads the trio of highlighted drivers this week, after the West Rutland, VT driver posted his first win of the season at Devil’s Bowl Speedway Saturday night. Winning helped him climb to 13th on the leaderboard among his Limited Sportsman peers driving his Fitzgerald Services – Mallery Automotive number 5VT Bicknell.

Winning will catch you a highlight or headline no doubt, but so will a season’s best finish. Devil’s Bowl Speedway competitor Katrina Bean had herself a strong performance Saturday night posting a second-place finish, her best of the season. The lady racer from Fair Haven, VT has a trio of top 10 finishes to her credit driving her Jakyla Transport – Crash Palace number 12 Bicknell.

Last but not least on the podium of highlighted Limited Sportsman drivers for this week is the confident contender Zach Dufel from Fonda Speedway. While he didn’t visit victory lane, he did race his way to a second place finish Saturday night and move up the leaderboard to the runner up spot just two points out of first driving his Miracle Ear – Pro Tech Scale Services 1H Bicknell.

KOD LIMITED SPORTSMAN NOTES: Drivers are racing their way towards 12 best finishes for the season which will reflect their standings on the leaderboard for Limited Sportsman. It doesn’t stop there, as any race after that is also an opportunity to improve. Ever race matters. Some tracks have been a bit behind due to scheduling or mother nature. Plenty of season left to climb the leaderboard and get to the goal of 12 races.
