Two-Time Super DIRT Week Champ Vic Coffey To Enter Past Champions Race At Oswego Speedway

Information By: CME, INC – LEICESTER, NY – After many weeks of thought and reflection, 2 Time Super DIRT Week Champion, Vic Coffey, will once again return to the cockpit of a racecar, for the Past Champions Race at Oswego, New York on October 6th, 2022.

This will mark the return of Vic to the racing world after a decision to retire a few years ago to concentrate on the efforts of his son and the Carl Myers Racing Team.

When questioned about his decision, Vic had this to say…

“ I would just like to take a minute to confirm that I will be participating in the Past Champions Race at Super Dirt Week 50. I have been considering this for a while, but was not completely sure until recently. I will only be taking part in Thursday nights events, and will then turn my focus 100% to running the 200 with my son Kyle at the wheel. I will not be running a throwback design, but will use the #39 Carl Myers Enterprises design that we have been using since the passing of my step father, who was also my long time sponsor and car owner. Carl was always looking forward and not looking back, so we will do the same. The chance to take to the track with the rest of the past winners is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I couldn’t pass it up, but I also know that this will the one and only time for me behind the wheel. Looking forward to the race, and would really like to thank all the people who were a part of our success.”
