Anthony Perrego Passes Matt Sheppard Late To Take Short Track Super Series “Hard Clay Finale” Friday At OCFS

Information By: SHORT TRACK SUPER SERIES – MIDDLETOWN, NY – Matt Sheppard looked like he was on his way to grabbing yet another checkered flag this fall season.

However, Anthony Perrego had other ideas.

With 41 laps complete in Friday night’s Short Track Super Series ‘Hard Clay Finale’ at the Orange County Fair Speedway, Perrego made his way around Sheppard in lap traffic and went on to capture the $10,000 victory in the North Region finale.

Sheppard led all but nine laps of the feature to come home second but officially captured the Series’ North Region title in the process.

Pole sitter Marc Johnson had a great run to come home in third with Mat Williamson finishing in fourth and Mike Mahaney completing the top five.

Max McLaughlin, Mike Gular, Bobby Hackel, Dillon Steuer and Jimmy Horton were sixth through 10th, respectively.

More to come…
