Dave Marcuccilli Is DIRTcar 358-Modified Series Champion For First Time; Takes 2022 Title

Story By: MICHELINA FRISS / DIRTCAR – CONCORD, NC – Through a consistent streak of good finishes, Dave Marcuccilli claimed his first DIRTcar 358 Modified Series championship by 28 points over Lance Willix.

The Montenzuma, NY drivers adds the accomplishment to his resume alongside his 2017 DIRTcar Sportsman title.

After a 12th-place finish at Brockville Ontario Speedway, he locked up the title, ending the season with three top fives and five top 10s for the Series.

“I am very happy; this was always the goal when I started to run the 358 Series a few years ago,” Marcuccilli said. “To actually get the championship just makes all the time you work at it all worth it. We were very consistent (five top 10s in seven races) and that is key when you try to run these point deals. Yeah, to want to win, but finishing is key.”
