Story By: KING OF DIRT – FAIR HAVEN, VT – Only Five Mile Point Speedway and New Egypt Speedway had registered King Of Dirt racers in action this past weekend, and Gary Smith took full advantage of the opportunity to register his 10th win of the year.

Gary Smith continues to blaze his own trail in the Southern Tier, namely at Five Mile Point Speedway where he’s registered for the Fastline Performance King Of Dirt Racing Overall Points Championship presented by Swagger Factory Apparel. Smith registered his 10th win of the season at Five Mile which improved his standings on the leaderboard.
Smith now finds himself 6th overall on the leaderboard with his efforts from Five Mile Point, replacing his already impressive efforts from Afton Motorsports Park. And he still has races left on the schedule before the doors close at the Kirkwood, NY race place driving his Matco Tools – Interstate Homes number 7UP Teo Pro Car.
Upper Makefield, PA racer Joe Toth took part in Legends Of The Fall event at New Egypt Speedway, where he hustled his way to a second-place finish. It helped Toth tie Fonda Speedway champion and six-time feature winner Chad Edwards with 1381 points. At KOD we utilize a tiebreaker, which is wins, seconds, thirds, etc. and Toth slots 4th overall with his Belmont’s Garage – Danny’s Pizza Pizzaz number 9 Bicknell Racing Chassis.
Also, in action at New Egypt Speedway during the Legends Of The Fall Sportsman portion, were KOD registered competitors Tom Princiotta and Ryan Simmons. Princiotta wheeled his Solarski Racing – JTees Screen Printing number 32 Bicknell to a 9th place finish respectively, while Simmons rode home to a 12th place finish with his Elegant Exteriors – Tri County Party Rentals number 20 Bicknell Racing Chassis.
