Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / DANNY DIETRICH RACING – GETTYSBURG, PA – Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing spent their Halloween weekend in the Garden State, and although the recently crowned Williams Grove Speedway champions were unable to continue their winning ways with a triumph in New Jersey, they displayed consistency, capping Bridgeport Speedway’s SprintOberfest on October 29-30 with back-to-back top-ten finishes.
Dietrich, ace of Gary Kauffman’s Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Self Made Racing, No. 48 sprint car, finished seventh and fifth in his Bridgeport Speedway invasion, simultaneously increasing his season’s top-ten count to a staggering 68, 52 of which are top-fives with 14 victories along the way.
In Sunday’s $15,000-to-win finale, Dietrich started near mid-pack and advanced rapidly, battling his way to the runner-up spot briefly before losing the position to Kyle Reinhardt; Dietrich faded to fifth.
Certainly no stranger to success at Bridgeport, Dietrich is a prior winner at the facility, earning a World of Outlaws victory in 2019.
“It was a solid trip to Bridgeport. Obviously our objective is to win or put ourselves in a position to win every race, but to maintain consistency is just as important. Can’t thank Gary Kauffman enough for allowing us the opportunity to race a long and dedicated schedule,” Dietrich said, who attained his most recent victory in Lincoln Speedway’s Night of Champions in mid-October. “We don’t have a lot left on our plate, so we’ll enjoy these next few weeks and roll into the off-season with momentum.”
Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will conclude their 2022 campaign with BAPS Motor Speedway’s Final Showdown on Saturday, November 12.
