Story By: TOBY LAGRANGE / GLEN RIDGE MOTORSPORTS PARK – FULTONVILLE, NY – It was just over a month ago that the Glen Ridge Motorsports Park announced that the DIRTcar 358 Modified division was being added to the weekly program for the 2023 racing season.
The moved marked the return of the Modifieds to the Fastest Quarter Mile on DIRT following a three-season absence.
With the DIRTcar 358 Modified division joining the weekly program, it is only fitting that they receive an event that showcases the best of the Mohawk Valley versus the best of the Northeast.
That event will be the Mohawk Valley DIRTcar 358 Showdown, which will be part of the 2023 DIRTcar 358 Modified Series.
A date has yet to be finalized for the event however it will pay $4,000 to win.
The exact date, along with the dates for the DIRTcar Sportsman and DIRTcar Pro Stock Series events will be released once finalized.
A healthy field of DIRTcar 358 Modifieds is expected at The Ridge when the gates open for the 2023 season. Drivers such as Montgomery Tremont, Lance Willix and Aaron Jacobs, along with division rookies Carter Gibbons, Taylor Wason and when his schedule allows, Brock Pinkerous are just some of the drivers who have confirmed for the 2023 season.
With the 2023 season just around the corner, more information regarding the 2023 season, divisional payouts and the Awards Ceremony will be released in the coming weeks.
