Story By: TOBY LAGRANGE / GLEN RIDGE MOTORSPORTS PARK – FULTONVILLE, NY – The Yurkewecz Auto Crushers DIRTcar Pro Stock field at the Glen Ridge Motorsports Park has been one of the toughest around and the 2023 season should be no exception.
When the track schedule is released in the coming weeks many specials will be highlighted, including a few for the track’s top full fender division.
One of those will be the annual visit to the quarter mile by the DIRTcar Pro Stock Series. The weekly Yurkewecz Auto Crushers DIRTcar Pro Stock division campaigners will go door to door with the best that the northeast has to offer in the Ridge Runner 30 on Sunday August 27th.
The series made one visit to the track in 2022 and that was on July 10th. Quebec’s Bruno Richard made his first ever visit to the hills of Montgomery County a successful one, as he picked up the win over Kevin Fetterly, Jr., Scott Towslee, Justin White and Tyler Bushey.
Richard would go on to claim his first DIRTcar Pro Stock division title over five time and defending Glen Ridge Track Champion Luke Horning. White, Bushey and Nick Hilt would round out the top five in season ending overall DIRTcar points.
The 2023 season kicks off for The Ridge on Sunday April 23rd with the inaugural Spring Fling car show and meet and greet day. A tentative practice session is scheduled for Sunday April 30th with opening day scheduled for Sunday May 7th.
