Story By: JIM CLARKE / GRAHAM RACING – ORONO, ONT – Opening night for the 2023 schedule is still months away, but that hasn’t stopped the father and son duo of Craig and Brandt Graham from getting things ready for the new season of action.
The team – based in Orono, Ontario – will once again hit the road with its familiar No. 98 and 14 Late Model rides, chasing this year’s dates on the RUSH tour.
“The crew and our team have been spending a lot of time in the shop getting the cars ready for our anticipated first show of the year, the RUSH Late Model Battle of the Bay in Mid-April,” said Craig Graham. “We’re also happy to announce that several of our long-time sponsorship partners have confirmed their intention of continuing their support of the team for the 2023 season.”
Craig and Brandt Graham finished 10th and 11th respectively in the 2022 RUSH Late Model point standings. The team is pleased to welcome Goat Transport, specialists in e-waste, cross dock, warehousing, repack and transportation needs back to the team. Rick and the team at Arcade Pools will also be back in the fold for another season of action.
Graham Racing’s officials say they’re expecting to announce the return of more of last year’s partners prior to the season’s first green flag. Like any other traveling team, Craig Graham says they’re always looking for additional marketing support.
“It takes a lot to keep a couple of cars on the track through the year and we’re thankful to our existing and new sponsorship partners for their ongoing support,” Craig Graham said. “Brandt and I will be following a schedule similar to what we did last year. Unlike most teams, we don’t race at a local track. Our entire schedule is spent on the road and the closest show for the Dirt Late Model cars is about a 5 hour haul. This is what we love to do. We’re always excited about getting to the next race and making some new friends.”
Preliminary news from RUSH Late Model officials has the tour visiting a trio of new Western Pennsylvania tracks for the series, with dates paying $3,000.00 to win at Dog Hollow Speedway by RFR Motorsports, Marion Center Raceway and Knox Raceway in a stretch from June 9th to 11th.
