Story By: JOHN SNYDER / ORANGE COUNTY FAIR SPEEDWAY – MIDDLETOWN, NY – It’s a sure sign that spring is just a few weeks away.
The annual Motorsports Show kicks off the 2023 racing season Saturday and Sunday, March 25-26 at Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown, New York.
The two-day auto racing expo indoors at the Orange County Fair Arena gives fans and competitors a preview of the on-track action that will begin the following weekend.
As many as 50 race cars of all types will be on display, and not only cars set to race on the historic five-eighths-mile clay speedway just yards from the Arena, but also cars that compete at other area tracks.
In addition to the displayed cars, there will be a pit crew challenge, charity auction, cornhole tournament, a drivers’ autograph session, the Miss OCFS Pageant, and crowning of Little Miss OCFS.
The Motorsports Show is open both Saturday and Sunday. Daily admission is $12.00 or $20.00 for a weekend pass. Children 10 and under admitted free. Parking on the fairgrounds is free.
But before the Motorsports Show, there’s one remaining bit of business to attend to from the 2022 season: The Orange County Fair Speedway Banquet and Awards Presentation will take place on Sunday, March 19 at the Fairgrounds Arena.
Barbecue buffet by Dave’s Devil Dog BBQ. Live music by the Black Dirt Bandits. Doors open at 2:00 pm. Buffet at 3:00 pm. Awards at 4:30 pm. information is forthcoming.
