
Story By: TYLER ALTMEYER / BROCK ZEARFOSS RACING – JONESTOWN, PA – Although forced to utilize a World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series provisional, the result of not qualifying for Lincoln Speedway’s Spring Showdown main event through preliminary efforts, the “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss did his best to persevere, and persevere he did, advancing 11 positions on the A-main grid to finish 19th at the final checkers.
In actuality, Zearfoss, ace of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, Milton Hershey School, A. Lane Living, No. 3Z sprint car, was just one spot shy of qualifying for main event competition, finishing sixth in his respective heat race.
Lincoln Speedway’s field included 49 entries; a stout contingent of Pennsylvania Posse were on hand to battle the Greatest Show On Dirt.
“We made the best of our situation and that’s all we can do. Hats off to this team. Starting 31st on a track like Lincoln Speedway is never an ideal circumstance, but we kept our heads on straight and did all that we could do,” Zearfoss said. “We would have liked a little better showing in front of our hometown fans and partners, but we’ll shake this off and try again when we come back to Central Pennsylvania.”
