Story By: NELSON RACING – AMSTERDAM, NY – Racing season is just a few weeks away from the green flag to drop.
Nelson Racing is getting ready and has some exciting news. Jack Lehner is returning to pilot the team’s #85.
Lehner will be aboard a brand new 2023 Bicknell Chassis powered by a brand new Pro Power racing engine.
The Saratoga Springs, NY native recently returned from a very successful trip to Florida in February for the DIRTcar Nationals Super Dirt Series events during Speed Weeks where he garnered three top 10 finishes against the best of the best down there.
He came up about a half lap short of winning his first Super DIRTcar Series event, finishing second to Mat Williamson and made his presence known for sure! He is truly a “Young Gun” who is making a name for himself!
Nelson Racing is happy & proud that Jack will be driving our car at Fonda Speedway once again this season.
We are doing our best to provide him a very competitive race car worthy of his ability so he can compete with the likes of NASCAR star Stewart Friesen, Matt Sheppard & all the stars who compete at one of Americas most famous dirt tracks, The Track Of Champions, every Saturday night. That’s amongst thousand of fans at the track as well as 10’s of thousands of those watching on Flo TV locally & nationally!
Nelson Racing #85 is a small dirt modified racing team originally founded in 1960. We have 30+ feature wins to our credit, track championships & have had a lot of success thru the years despite competing against ”Big Buck” sponsored traveling teams & National Championship caliber drivers!
The 2023 season brings additional challenges with it, like everything else the costs of operating a competitive high caliber racing team have risen considerably to say the least! Hence, we are in search of additional sponsors / advertisers & “Friends of Racing” to help defer these additional costs! Race Fuel sponsors greatly needed!
