An Exciting Calendar Of Events On Tap During 2023 Season At Cornwall Motor Speedway
Story By: MARTIN BÉLANGER / CORNWALL MOTOR SPEEDWAY – CORNWALL, ONT – As we are 7 Sundays away from the kickoff of the 54th season at Cornwall Motor Speedway. Promoter Raymond Lavergne recently unveiled a jam pack calendar as a total of 23 events are scheduled!
The 2023 season is scheduled to start on Sunday, May 21 as the local series will be on the spotlight, opening night brings in several invaders in all divisions with a lot of money on the line as the Fat Les Chip Stand Canadian Nationals, Race for the Cure Sportsman, Clyde Sligner Pro-Stock and the new Eastern Ontario Mini-Stock Showdown Series are all in action!
The month of June will have 2 themed nights as we will honor the First Responders on June 4 and Students on June 18, both groups will have a rebate to access these evenings. Sprint Car fans will be pleased to see the return of the Empire Super Sprints on June 25th along with the Lightning Sprints and the 2nd round of the Clyde Sligner Pro-Stock Series.
July will be a huge month at Cornwall starting by the Canada Day Spectacular on the 2nd with the return of the popular Run what ya Brung Modified with $4,000 to win along with the Race for the Cure Sportsman Series and Farnham Ale Lager Pro-Stock Series. The exciting Autograph night is on the card for July 9th. The Canadian Big-Block Series will be in town on Thursday, July 13 with a $10,000 to win event! Sportsman will have their moment to shine on the 16th during the Summer Sizzler Sportsman Showdown with a $3,000 to win event. Action Sprint Tour on the 23rd and Vintage on the 30th will also visit Cornwall in July.
August will also be a big month with the Canadian Nationals, Race for the Cure, Farnham Ale Series along with the lightning Sprints on the 6th. The Northeast Late Model Alliance will make their only visit this season on August 13th. Another marquee event on Thursday, August 24th as the Canadian Nationals Series will be $10,000 to win.
Regular Season will conclude on September 3rd as the Fat Les Chip Stand Canadian Nationals, Race for the Cure Sportsman, Clyde Sligner Pro-Stock and the new Eastern Ontario Mini-Stock Showdown Series are all in action! The Fireball Enduro Weekend will again be on 2 days on September 9 and 10.
The 4th edition of the Canadian Super DIRT Weekend return in October with 3 days of racing action, the full calendar for that weekend will be announced at a later date!
Season passes are back this year! For a limited time, you can purchase your pass between April 10 and April 28 and can save $150 in general admission and $200 in the pits!
