Story By: CURTIS BERLEUE / EMPIRE SUPER SPRINTS – OSWEGO, NY – After a long winter, the Empire Super Sprints are set to kick off their 2023 40th anniversary campaign this coming Saturday night April 15 at the Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, NY.
The event will be the first of 33 scheduled events on the ESS schedule that spans across New York, Ontario and Quebec Canada.
Leading the charge into Dundee will be the reigning series champion Jordan Poirier from Beloeil, QC, Canada. Poirier had a breakout season in 2023, scoring 3 wins and 15 top 5’s en-route to his first championship.

Saturday night will be a tribute to Cal Lane, brother to Mal Lane and member of a family that has roots deeply embedded in both the Dundee racing community and within the Empire Super Sprints family. The 25 lap main event will pay $3,000 to the winner, and, as with all ESS events in 2023, $300 to take the green flag.
Pit gates will open at 3pm on Saturday, with grandstands opening at 4pm, hot laps at 5pm and racing set to start at 6pm.
