
Story By: JUSTIN SNYDER / PORT ROYAL SPEEDWAY – PORT ROYAL, PA – This one’s for the ladies! Port Royal Speedway is set to celebrate Ladies Night with a three-division spectacular featuring the Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Cars, the Selinsgrove Ford Super Late Models and the PA Sprint Series PennsValley MeatMarket 305 Sprint Cars on Saturday, May 6th.
The Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Cars will compete for $5000 to win, while the Selinsgrove Ford Super Late Models will be vying for a $4000 winner’s share.
Formats will be as follows- 410 sprints draw for heats. Handicap the top finishers into the front of the A. 305 sprints regular show. Late Models will utilize World of Outlaws Late Model Series format. Time trial against the entire field. Heads up from time into the heat races. Top 2 finishers redraw for the A.
Pit gates will open at 4:00 pm, while General Admission gates will open at 5:00 pm. Racing is set to kick off at 7:00 pm. General Admission is $20, Student Admission is $10, while Pit Admission is $35. Ladies get $10 GA!
After three 2023 racing events, Devon Borden leads the point standings by a slim margin of 20 points over Dylan Cisney. Justin Whittall (-40), Mike Wagner (-60) and Gerard McIntyre (-65) make up the rest of the top five.
Meanwhile, in Super Late Model competition Gregg Satterlee and Rick Eckert currently are tied up top in the series point standings. Hayes Mattern (-30), Dillan Stake (-40) and Jeff Rine (-40) make up the rest of the top five.
This will be the second of 10 scheduled PA Sprint Series 305 Sprint Car events for the 2023 racing season. Logan Spahr sits on top the points followed by Seth Schnoke, Ken Duke, Dylan Shatzer and Zach Rhodes.
