Story By: RON SZCZERBA / FONDA SPEEDWAY – FONDA, NY – Another Saturday evening of excitement awaits local fans this Saturday, June 24 at the “Track of Champions” Fonda Speedway featuring $5 grandstand admission!
On the racing card, presented by Bill Lake Modular Homes will be a Meet & Greet on the front straightaway just after hot laps for cars in all regular divisions, a great time for fans to go out on to the track and meet their favorite drivers and see their race cars up close and personal.
The Amsterdam Truck Center Modifieds, Swagger Factory Apparel Crate 602 Sportsman, Below Zero Ice Cream Pro Stocks, Montgomery County Office for Aging Inc. Limited Sportsman, and Fonda Fair Four Cylinders are the regular divisions that will be in action on Saturday the 24th in the seventh racing program of the 2023 racing season after a rain out last Saturday.
Bike Night will also take place this Saturday, June 24 for the Fonda Speedway Kid’s Club so if you have a bike that you would like to donate please bring it to Ashley Abeling at the Kid’s Club location at the speedway, underneath the end of the covered grandstands at gate two!

Looking at the point standings going into Fan Appreciation night next Saturday Demetrious Drellos is the point leader in the Amsterdam Truck Center Modified division with 281 points. Defending Track Champion Matt DeLorenzo is second with 269 points while Rocky Warner (263), Alex Yankowski (214), and Bobby Hackel IV (213) complete the top five.
Defending Track Champion Payton Talbot leads the way in the Swagger Factory Apparel Crate 602 Sportsman division with 334 points followed in the top five by Chad Edwards (292), Tanner Warner (256), Chip Constantino (252), and Clayton DuMond (248).
All-Time wins leader in the Below Zero Ice Cream Pro Stock division Kenny Gates leads the points in that division with 330 followed by Ivan Joslin (304), Beau Ballard (298), Josh Coonradt (290), and Luke Horning (274) who complete the top five.
Kyle Dingman leads the way in the Montgomery County Office for Aging Inc. Limited Sportsman point standings with a total of 302 while Lance Hill (274), Connor Prokop (264), Bobby Rhinehart (262), and Tim Wilmot (250) complete the top five.
In the Fonda Fair Four Cylinder class Ken Hollenback (SOHC) and Kerrie Hollenback (DOHC) are one and two in the standings with 340 and 326 points respectively while Wayne Russell Jr. (264), Tim Warner (242), and TJ Marlitt (207) complete the top five.
If you are a race fan that gets to the track early, be sure to check out the Fonda Speedway Museum & Hall of Fame which is located on the Fonda Fairgrounds at the rear of the parking area going down towards turn four. The museum is open from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on race days and admission is free!
