Story By: BRAD STRAWSER / PORT ROYAL SPEEDWAY – PORT ROYAL, PA – The anticipation is building for another exciting season Port Royal Speedway gears up for an adrenaline-fueled start to another year.
Races this season include the Bob Weikert Memorial with High Limit Racing that this season pays $75K to the winner, the Tuscarora 50 that pays $57K, the Rumble by the River that pays $50K as well as the Speed Showcase $50K to the winner.
There are also 9 races in the upcoming season that tout over $10K to the winner’s share as well in the 2024 season. The Port Royal Speedway promises thrills, speed, and fierce competition that has become the standard at The Speed Palace.
The large prize pools aren’t only geared towards towards 410 sprint car drivers as well. Port Royal Speedway brings in two of the country’s premiere divisions with sprint cars and super late models, and the drivers of the late models will be racing for $50K to win this season against the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on August 24th. The super modified fans will also be able to return to The Speed Palace in 2024 on March 16th to watch their drivers compete for $50 to win as well. These substantial prize pool not only attracts top-tier talent from across the region but also ensures an intense level of competition that promises to keep fans on the edge of their seats.
The track also has fantastic weekly racing in store that pays a top purse from top to bottom in both the 410 sprint car division as well as the super late model division. The 410 sprints can expect $5000 to win, $1000 for 10th, $500 to start & $200 tow, while super late models can get ready for $4000 to win, $400 to start & $200 tow.
