Story By: MARTIN BELANGER / CORNWALL MOTOR SPEEDWAY – CORNWALL, ONT – The Clyde Slinger Pro-Stock Series was in town along with a complete race program as BMO was sponsoring this exciting evening of racing.

Rock Aubin was the early leader in the 40-lap Clyde Slinger Pro-Stock Series as caution was out for Burton Ward who hit the wall hard in front of the grandstand as caution was out. Bruno Cyr took the lead in front of Aubin on the restart with Jonathan Levesque in third. Cyr in front of Aubin and Bastien Caron moving to third by lap 10. A good battle for the lead between Cyr and Caron. Both drivers were in battle with Levesque as the feature reached the halfway point. Caron took the lead over Cyr on lap 25 as Sid Harmer moved up to second. Caron was quick in front over Harmer and Levesque. Caron wins the race, his second feature this season!

Joey Ladouceur took the lead in the 35-lap JLB Heating and Cooling Modified feature over Louie Jackson Jr and Corey Wheeler. Jackson was quick on the bottom and took the lead on lap 7. Carey Terrance was on the move as he took second from Ladouceur on lap 13. Caution was out on lap 14 for Thomas Cook. On the restart, Terrance had a great jump and was the new leader. Terrance was looking for the win, but he got a flat tire and Jackson passed him on the final lap to get his first win this season over Corey Wheeler and Jackson Gill.

A good battle to start the 25-lap Next Level Home Improvement Sportsman feature as Fire Swamp and Gabriel Cyr exchanged the lead with Swamp taking the top spot, on lap 7. Lap traffic became a factor as Cyr was able to get the lead on lap 12. Cyr led the remainder of the caution free feature and captured a second win this season.

Adrian Black led the field to green in the 20-lap Ricks Ranch Mini-Stock. Yellow was out on lap 2 for Martin Bernard. A lot of changes behind the leader as Sebastien Beauregard and Jean-Philippe Guay were behind Black. Black led all the laps to win his first ever feature win.

The Fun Zone Party Inflatables Novice Sportsman saw Nick Merkley taking the lead in the 15-lap feature. Merkley led wire to wire and grabbed the feature in front of Kent Miller and Garin Thompson.

The Northeast Late Model Alliance will make their annual trip on Sunday along with a special 35-lap Mini-Stock event paying $555 to win, Street Stocks will also make their first appearance along with the Modifieds and Vintage.
