Story By: BREWERTON SPEEDWAY – BREWERTON, NY – Wings return as the Empire Super Sprints make their third and final 2024 appearance while track champions will be crowned on Chris Nichols Snap-On and Stop-DWI New York Night this Friday at Brewerton Speedway.
Championships will be on the line for Tracey Road Modifieds, Dot Foods Sportsman, and Mirabito 4-Cylinder Super Stocks as they compete for the final time in the 2024 regular season at the Demon.
In the Tracey Road Modifieds it comes down to two drivers as Tim Sears Jr. tries to clinch his second straight Track Championship while multi-time champion Jimmy Phelps sits 16 markers back. Phelps will be looking for a big night Friday to claim the title.
Nick Root holds a slim eight-point advantage over Cody Manitta in the Dot Foods DIRTcar Sportsman Championship chase. Defending Champion Zach Sobotka is mathematically in contention, as well, but sits 22 points behind Root and will need some help to go back-to-back.
Chris Bonoffski will be crowned the 2024 Mirabito 4-Cylinder Champion as he has clinched championship. However, the RL Cleaning ‘Bonoffski Bounty’ remains up for grabs paying a driver an extra $100 to stop Bonoffski’s winning streak.
Dot Foods, our divisional sponsor for DIRTcar Sportsman, will be on hand handing out back to school packs for kids at the front admission gate. They will also be adding two bikes to the Burdick Ford Jr. Fan Bike Giveaway. They have also posted an additional $500 to be added to the Dot Foods DIRTcar Sportsman purse with $200 extra going to the feature winner and $100 going to each heat winner.
