Story By: DAN KAPUSCINSKI / WEEDSPORT SPEEDWAY – WEEDSPORT, NY – There will be something for everyone across the two days of racing action during Stirling Lubricants Cavalcade Cup Weekend on September 7-8 at Weedsport Speedway, as both the CRSA and ESS Sprint Cars are set to join the weekend card.
Modifieds, stock cars and sprint cars will be on the menu, with the CRSA Sprints kicking things off for sprint car enthusiasts on Saturday, September 7 along side the Super DIRTcar Series and the DIRTcar Sportsman Classic 75.
The September 7 event for the CRSA will be their second of the year at Weedsport, as Jordan Hutton climbed Victory Hill back in May over Jeff Trombley and Scott Landers.
As of August 29, with 10 races into the season, Tomy Moreau leads the CRSA title chase over Kyle Pierce, Dalton Herrick, Ron Greek and Blake Warner.
The Sunday, September 8 showing for the ESS Sprint Cars will also be their second of the season at Weedsport, following a dramatic event back in July that saw Danny Varin finish on top ahead of Matt Tanner, Jonathan Preston, Jordan Poirier and Larry Wight.
Poirier is the current series leader over Davie Franek, Jason Barney, Tanner and Billy VanInwegen.
Fans who pre-purchase tickets to the upcoming Stirling Lubricants Cavalcade Cup Weekend at Weedsport Speedway on September 7-8, will automatically enter into a chance to win a pair of Saturday tickets to Super DIRT Week at Oswego Speedway.
To be eligible, fans must pre-purchase their Cavalcade Cup Weekend tickets by no later than 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, September 1. Tickets can be pre-purchased via the Tickets tab at www.weedsportspeedway.com. Those who pre-purchase tickets will also save $5.
Two winners will be drawn on Monday, September 2 and posted to the speedway’s Facebook page. One set of tickets to Super DIRT Week will go to a fan with a Saturday ticket to Cavalcade Cup Weekend and another set of tickets will go to a fan with a Cavalcade Cup Weekend Sunday ticket.
A full weekend of action during Stirling Lubricants Cavalcade Cup Weekend on September 7-8 will see the Super DIRTcar Series in action with the DIRTcar Sportsman Series Sportsman Classic 75 and the CRSA Sprint Cars on September 7.
The DIRTcar Big Blocks will contend on September 8 with the return of the ESS Sprint Cars and the Empire Street Stock Series.
