Story By: KENNY SHUPP / OUTLAW SPEEDWAY – DUNDEE, NY – After an aggressive month of July which included a Thursday Night Thunder Short Track Super Series Event, a massive Fireworks Extravaganza, Christmas in July Pack the Track Night plus the 9th Annual Summer Nationals, Outlaw Speedway owner/promoter, Tyler Siri will back things down a bit the first few weeks in August prior to the Regular Season Ending Double Point Championship night which will determine all six Track Champions for the 2024 season heading into Post Season Play.
“We had a highly successful month of July, stated Siri. Weather was not any real problem as we put all our weekly shows into the record books without any rainouts. We will relax a little bit in August with primarily Regular Super 5 Shows and some King of the Ring events before we crank back up with a slew of specials in September and October.
Outlaw will open the month of August with a Regular Super 5 Program on the 2nd featuring all the weekly classes including the Friendly Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Modifieds, Sunrise Insulation/Knapp and Schlappi Lumber Crate Sportsman, Swarthout Recycling Street Stocks, the Addison, Corning, Hornell and Wellsville NAPA Hobby Stocks as well as the Winner’s Circle Deli Mini Stocks. It is also anticipated that the Fritz Masonry Youth Bandits will also be on the agenda.
The Napa Hobby Stocks will also have their Annual King of the Ring one-on -one elimination event.
With just four-point shows remaining including the Double Point Championship Night on August 30, all eyes will now be focused on the top point getters in each division all vying for record point championship checks.
“It is down to crunch time for teams that have really worked hard to win their respective class points titles. There is a lot of money riding for each champion to say nothing about the prestige of claiming a track title.” That is according to Tyler Siri.
Camping is always free and highly encouraged at the Outlaw Speedway and two watering holes await parched race fans upon arrival.
The Turn 4 Tavern in the Main Grandstand Area as well as the Outlaw Saloon in the Pits is always open with a large assortment of iced cold beer.
In addition, the Outlaw Saloon has a roof top observation deck offering a fabulous view of the Fast 4/10 of a Mile Oval.
