Story By: KENNY SHUPP / OUTLAW SPEEDWAY – DUNDEE, NY – After an earlier season washout, Mike Emhoff’s CRSA 305 Sprints will try it again at the Outlaw Speedway on August 16.
“It doesn’t happen very often that both parties have an opening in their respective schedules to re-book a rained-out event, but we lucked out on this one as both Outlaw and CRSA had this coming Friday, August 16 open for their return engagement.” That is according to Outlaw Speedway owner/promoter, Tyler Siri.
The CRSA 305 Sprints will headline the show on the 16th, which will also feature the popular Classics On Dirt vintage cars that transport you to the golden days of dirt racing.
The August 16, 2024, event at Outlaw will be the final Regular Season point paying event of the season heading into the Season Championship Double Point Event on Friday, August 30, 2024.
Outlaw Speedway is scheduled to have a Night Off from racing on August 23, 2024.
As part of the show on August 16 the Friendly Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Modifieds will head up the card as the Mighty Modifieds will be supported by the Sunrise Insulation/Knapp and Schlappi Lumber Sportsman, Swarthout Recycling Street Stocks, Addison, Corning, Hornell and Wellsville NAPA Hobby Stocks and the Winner’s Circle Deli Mini Stocks.
“At Outlaw Speedway I pay big point fund money including the Modifieds which run for $10,000 to win the title. The other weekly classes are also racing for record point fund money. It is critical that all the top point runners in all classes bring their A game for the last two-point races of the season including the Double Point Finale on August 30.” That once again according to track owner/promoter, Tyler Siri.
Camping is always free and encouraged at Outlaw Speedway and for those that come parched a pair of watering holes are available with the Turn 4 Tavern in the Main Grandstand Seating Area along with the Outlaw Saloon located Pit Side.
Each day leading up to the August 16 event there will be multiple postings on the Outlaw Raceway Facebook relevant to the point standings in each weekly division as well as updates on the CRSA 305 Sprints.
It is anticipated that a record number of the wonderful winged 305 creations will find their way to the popular Yates County Facility including 2023 Series Champion, Jordan Hutton who has already been at Outlaw Speedway twice thus far in 2024 including competing with the High Limit 410 Sprint Car Series as well as the most recently held Summer Nationals where he ran with the ESS 360 Sprints.
With Outlaw Speedway’s relatively close proximity to the Land of Legends Speedway in Canandaigua, NY it is a sure bet that many of their weekly 305 competitors will find their way to the Dundee, NY oval.
Celebrating 67 years of continuous dirt track racing, the Outlaw Speedway is located on Rt. 14a just outside of Dundee, right in the heart of the Finger lakes Region of Upstate, NY.
