Story By: KENNY SHUPP / OUTLAW SPEEDWAY – DUNDEE, NY – After an extraordinarily successful 2024 season, Outlaw Speedway owner/promoter, Tyler Siri is pleased to announce that the Dundee, NY facility will once again host the Fall Nationals on Friday, September 20, 2024.
“Ever since I purchased this track from the late Dean Hoag, I have always put four events on the schedule year after year. The Spring, Summer and Fall Nationals along with the Hoag Memorial which wraps up the season in October. The popularity of these four events has been overwhelming and it is with a great deal of pleasure that once again Outlaw will host the 9th Annual Fall Nationals on Friday, September 20, 2024.”
The Empire Super Sprints will be making a return engagement to the event where the winner of the A -Main event will pocket a handsome $4,000.
The Friendly Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Modifieds will run for a winner’s share of $5067 to win the Gunslinger 50 lap feature with the Sunrise Insulation/Knapp and Schlappi Lumber Crate Sportsman feature winner walking away with $2067.
The Swarthout Recycling sponsored, Street Stocks will race for a winner’s share of $1567 and the Addison, Corning, Hornell and Wellsville Hobby Stocks run for $1067 to win.
With many of the race venues in the northeast either already closed for the season or running their own season ending dedicated events it leaves the door open for Outlaw Speedway to host high dollar late season special’s including the Fall Nationals.
“It is tough to have the only game in town, but I try and gear this event so that there is as little competition as possible. With the money that is being posted to win at the 9th Annual Outlaw Speedway Fall Nationals I want to try and attract as many racers and fans as possible.” That is according to Tyler Siri.
Camping at the Outlaw Speedway is always free and thirsty fans have a pair of watering holes to choose from.
The Turn 4 Tavern, which is in the grandstand seating area along with the Outlaw Speedway Saloon which is located on the pit side both offer a wide selection of iced cold beer.
The Saloon also offers a top floor deck providing an unparalleled view of the Fast 4/10 of a mile oval.
SPEEDWAY TO HUNKER DOWN FOR A MONTH PRIOR TO THE SEASON ENDING HOAG MEMORIAL
After a massively successful 2024 season at the Outlaw Speedway, the track will remain silent for the next several weeks as track owner, Tyler Siri and his staff will prepare for the season ending Dutch and Dean Hoag Memorial at the Yates County Speedway.
“This is my 9th season owning and promoting this track and I have found a system that works for our fans, sponsors and drivers. After the Cal Lane Fall Nationals on September 20, we shut down for about a month and get ready for the Hoag Memorial which is set for Octobert 18-19, 2024.” That is according to Outlaw Speedway owner, Tyler Siri.
Siri then went on to say that “We have had a wonderful season at Outlaw Speedway. Even with all the rainouts and lousy April weather it was a formidable season. We had the High Limit 410 Sprint Car Series which was new for us and the place was absolutely packed and the show provided great racing for all our fans. Also, the Short Track Super Series Show was phenomenal. The Summer Nationals went off without a hitch in July and NASCAR Night and the Ted Siri Memorial was our best yet!”
Outlaw Speedway has become one of the more prolific tracks in the Upstate Region of New York, but it has not come without a lot of hard work and dedication.
“I am fortunate to have some of the best staff members in racing. All the key positions are filled with men and women that have years and years of experience not only at Outlaw but other race venues as well. As a promoter it makes my life a lot easier.”
The racing surface has been table- top smooth and wide all season which has been Siri’s number one focus point in 2024. Also, getting the races run off in a timely manner has been critical. Between the two it has led to better car counts and fan attendance.
The point battles in all divisions went right down to the wire which provided plenty of pre-race activity on social media as well as race night.
With the four- week downtime, fans and drivers are encouraged to keep a watchful eye on the tracks Facebook for updates heading into the Hoag Memorial Event.
As the dates of the event draw closer additional press releases will be issued regarding the classes of competition, winner’s payouts, gate and start times for both nights of competition along with other valuable information.
