CJB Motorsports & Spencer Bayston Announce Amicable Split After Three Years Together

Story By: CJB MOTORSPORTS – CARLISLE, PA – CJB Motorsports and driver Spencer Bayston have mutually agreed to part ways after a successful three-year partnership.

The collaboration, which began in 2022, saw numerous highlights, including Bayston earning the prestigious 2022 World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year title and capturing victorious at notable tracks such as Bristol Motor Speedway, Port Royal Speedway, Huset’s Speedway and Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55.

Throughout their time together, Bayston, behind the wheel of the No. 5 car, competed nationwide with both the World of Outlaws and High Limit Racing Series.

During their partnership, the team not only celebrated key on-track accomplishments but also played a pivotal role in advancing Bayston’s career in winged sprint car racing.

Bayston expressed his gratitude for the opportunity.

“Racing winged sprint cars full time on a national level was something I always dreamt of as a kid,” Bayston said. “Chad, Barry and everyone CJB Motorsports were the first team to provide me with that opportunity, and I will be forever grateful for them investing into my career. I have learned so much over the last three years about this industry and what it takes to compete on a professional level.”

He continued.

“I was fortunate to have had the chance to spend three years with Barry as my crew chief,” Bayston said. “Having Barry in my corner has helped my progression as a driver and competitor. Experiencing his passion and knowledge for the sport is something everyone could benefit by, and I feel fortunate to have had the chance to work with someone as talented as him. I would like to thank all of our fans for their support on the No. 5 car these last three years and want to wish everyone at CJB the best of luck in their future endeavors.”

Barry Jackson also reflected on his time with Bayston.

“We’ve been fortunate to have Spencer as part of our team for the past three years,” Jackson said. “His dedication and drive on and off the track have contributed greatly to our success. His victory at Bristol (Tenn.) and the honor of being named rookie of the year in 2022 were particularly proud moments for our organization. We appreciate everything Spencer has brought to the table and wish him nothing but the best in the next chapter of his racing career.”

The team will now focus on preparing for the future as they aim to continue their winning tradition in sprint car racing.
