Story By: MARTIN BELANGER / CORNWALL MOTOR SPEEDWAY – CORNWALL, ONT – Cornwall Motor Speedway will return to action in 2025 under DIRTcar sanction, following a recent agreement between promoter Raymond Lavergne and World Racing Group officials.
This exciting development will bring enhanced competition and opportunities to the speedway, as the 358-Modified, Sportsman, and Pro-Stock divisions will race under DIRTcar rules and sanctioning beginning next season.
As part of the transition to DIRTcar, drivers will be required to purchase a DIRTcar membership card. This membership provides access to various points, funds, and bonus programs offered under the DIRTcar banner, providing additional benefits for competitors.
The World of Outlaws Sprint Cars, dubbed “The Greatest Show on DIRT,” will make their return to Cornwall on Sunday, May 18, 2025, bringing with them the thrill and excitement fans have come to expect from the premier sprint car series in the world. Additionally, a date has been secured for the Super DIRTcar Big-Block Series, set to race at Cornwall on Sunday, June 29, 2025. Discussions are ongoing with DIRTcar officials to finalize a date for the 358-Modified, Sportsman, and Pro-Stock Series during the summer months.
Also on the calendar for 2025 is the second edition of RaceFest, set for October 4-5, 2025, and the 6th edition of Canadian Super DIRT Weekend, scheduled for October 10-12, 2025. Race formats for both events will be announced later.
